I heard the news today

There is conspicuous consensus in this country demanding that our elected representatives do something about these chronic catastrophes.  Mass murder is as wholesome and American as apple pie. We’re closer than ever to semi-automatic weapons being welcome at baseball games, Disney movie premieres and father daughter day events of every kind.

An overwhelming majority of us are begging them to do something. Democrats, republicans and independents.

We are begging.

But yesterday they refused.

Again.

Because they are spineless fucking cowards beholding to them that brung them. The very same assholes who invest inordinate amounts of political capital into panicking us with radical Islamic terrorism, ran from preventing the horror they enthusiastically foment so that domestic terrorists are allowed to march with hypocritical allegiance to the second amendment, shoot up abortion clinics, black churches and gay clubs.

I am disgusted.

This particular jackass wasn’t a terrorist.  He was a self loathing homosexual largely because of the ridiculous tenets of a faith that is remarkably similar to western ideology.  It’s just that easy to explain.

A uniquely American pathology that is both acute and chronic and incontrovertible proof that our elected “representatives” are sanctimonious losers and liars.

Here is proof that the people who you elect don’t represent you.

Here it is.

Here it fucking is.

So now, the republicans foist some weak sauce bill that will exclude some 2,700 loons from buying a lethal weapon as opposed to the one million out of a population of well over 340 million proposed by the other side.  3,400 Americans died at the end of household firearms in the last five weeks for fucks sake.

Seriously?

All because of some pious cunt named Wayne LaPierre and the NRA.

I use the word pious with all intentional pejorative force and the word cunt with all intentional pejorative force minus any gender connotation.  Don’t give me any grief over this, Wayne LaPierre is a pious cunt.

And they all fear him because they are ridiculous cowards.

So every goddamn republican who was too timid to vote for legislation that barely even addresses the problem at hand, including two worthless democrats, ought to be impeached for dereliction of duty.  For violating the trust of the people they were elected to represent.

The solution isn’t regulating guns or people.  They aren’t mutually exclusive.  The solution is regulating people with guns or people who would get them.

Do the goddamn math.

Drinks for my friends.

*So I’ve written chapters about this band.  The “Psychodelic Zombiez”.  Dumbest band name ever.  Might be the best band I ever worked with.  Simultaneously, the biggest long shot I ever invested in and the horse I cared about the most.  Man, they could play.  Made a whole record with them and didn’t pay a goddamn dime for any of it. Scammed it all.  First horn section I ever recorded.  If you like the song at all, search the website,  I absolutely had to write about them.  I had to make their record. Goddamn they could play.  They broke my heart and it was inevitable.  All done in Studio C at A&M Studios on a 32 input API and one 24 track analog Studer so fuck you.*

Decision making via majority out come at the ballot box has been circumvented by the minority outcome of the lobbying process. The problem is infinitely greater than just sane gun regulation. It’s the failure to come to terms with the breeched bulkheads of our ship of state, and our insane propensity for rearrange the deck chairs. Corporatocracy is a pay to play governance. The NRA is a unified, member and industry funded, perpetually relentless organization on behalf of the minority they represent. The gun regulation movement is a straw fire response that comes out of the woodwork, only, after a mass shooting. The vicarious empowerment imagined by gun ownership lasts indefinitely, while the sorrow from a particular site of slaughter subsides for those not directly effected. The left has always lacked tactical combat skills. We flail more than we punch. We continue to approach this head on and we continue to not prevail. In one respect, the horses have already fled the barn. Millions, of the kinds of weapons we would like to see banned are already out there, and any thousands are stolen and on the black market. We will never reign this in without some draconian, house to house search and seizure that no one would ever contemplate, other than homeland security. No, we need to wet the appetites of the insurance industry with the prospect of millions of insurance premiums being mandated as an obligation of legal gun ownership. The Right flies the flag of personal responsibility, high and proud: “get a job you displaced bum” and “a man should be responsible for his own health and healthcare” (or lack there of). While more projection than reality, we should take them up on it, and move to require firearm insurance policies. It’s a very incomplete measure, but it would force guns owners to think about the consequences of owning a firearm, besides the imagined bad guy scenario, far more paranoid delusion than statistical reality.

This is Liberal BS. Radical islam is the problem, not guns. We’re keeping the 2nd Amendment. Libtards can keep the change.

    • It’s like you can’t read. What’s new? Glad you’re still reading though. As always, try harder genius. Much harder. You’re statistically far more likely to be shot by a goddamn toddler in this country than an a radical Islamist. Congratulations dipshit.

Hey Genius, you ever look up the definition of “militia”?

  • CH:

Happy to have that Zombiez album in the collection. liked the brethiness of Mary Sunshine and the bounce of Rat Bat Blue, never heard those.

2nd amendment needs to read ‘every american has the right to bare one musket’

Has anyone noticed that the strongest supporters of gun control tend to have serious ethical and legal issues of their own. Harry Reid, Hillary Clinton, Charles Rangel, fmr NY Assy speaker Sheldon Silver, who’s doing 12 yrs, after the judge called him a “a scheming corrupt politician.”, fmr Cong Leland Yee who’s doing time for gun running, among others. This is nothing new. The first gun control regs, the Sullivan Laws in NY passed in 1911. What the gun grabbers don’t tell you is WHO those laws were named for. Big Tim Sullivan, a Tammany hall operative even more corrupt than Hillary. He wanted to make the streets of NYC safer, for him and his cronies as well as the muggers and gangsters in his back pocket. About 25 years ago the gun violence death clock was put up near Times Square. It was funded by Robert Brennan, a junk bond dealing scam artist who makes Bernie Madoff look like Mother Theresa. He did a stint in Club Fed for securities fraud and other such niceties. I’m sure he had a pragmatic reason for performing this “public service”. Hey if I scammed all those old folks out of their life savings, I too would be scared sh!tless if they their kids or grandkids had easy access to firearms. Just sayin..

It’s ironic as hell that all these “Oh nooooo-they’re FINALLY coming fer mah gunz!” folks have had dozens, no…HUNDREDS of opportunities to police their own. To address their unstable, their paranoid and their immature. To nudge them back toward reality.

But instead, “responsible gun owners” were either unwilling or unable to contain these morons having serious personality deficits, those who waltzed through our grocery stores, shopping malls and school parking lots in delusional visions of penis-envy with locked and loaded hopes of finding Al Qaeda hiding inside the frozen vegetable units or outdoors playing on the swing sets. “Look at me! Maybe I’m a ‘good guy’ – but maybe I’m not. Wanna find out?” Where they could finally play the movie action hero (or the bad guy) they’ve always imagined themselves to be.

Wake up, Goldilocks. This ain’t Hollywood and we’re not directors. Here’s a new role for you: Believe you’ve got a right to a militarized weapon? Go talk to your local recruiter about getting access to one. Now there’s a

These snivelling cowards virtually begged for these minimal gun restrictions so horrifically overdue. Some of their supporters are surely pathetic victims of LaPierre’s lucrative fantasies, Fox ‘News’ junkies. I’ve no sympathy left for them, these cultists. I’m not willing to wait until half of them has left a loaded weapon within a child’s reach or we reach an average of 2 mass shootings a day (in a perverse game of “Who’s Next”) for a difference to be made. It’s not that hard to figure out that the most common threat Americans face is that 20-30 something white American guy with a gun and an attitude. And that most laws aren’t written for the best of us. Most of us will know and do what’s right of our own accord. But laws are necessary to help protect us from our worst. You’re on the Terrorist Watch List and suddenly can’t buy any more guns? Too f*ckin’ bad.

And should Mr. LaPierre’s income suffer (bless his heart) or gun manufacturers make a bit less in blood money next year, you can rest assured that they’ll be just fine. They will survive.

I know they will because I’ll send ’em my “thoughts and prayers”.
